A place for conversations that continue beyond the therapy room.

Most conversations about mental health begin with the question, “What is wrong with me?” That question matters. But it is only the beginning. This library is interested in another question: How do we build a life?

Here you’ll find essays, reading lists, notes, and carefully chosen resources exploring psychology alongside philosophy, literature, art, history, culture, and the ordinary experiences that shape us. Some pieces offer knowledge. Others simply leave you with a better question. This is not a curriculum to complete or a collection of answers to adopt. It is an invitation to think, to notice, and to return. Read what draws your attention. Leave what doesn’t. Come back whenever you wish.

What You’ll Find Here

Conversations

The heart of the library.  Thoughtful explorations of questions that arise in therapy and in everyday life.  Reflections on psychotherapy, relationships, trauma, identity, emotions and the everyday experience of being human.

Reading Lists

Books that provoke thought across psychology, philosophy, literature, history, art and neuroscience—in short, books about meaning in human life. Not because they contain the answers, but because they ask thoughtful questions.

Notes

Short reflections. A paragraph. A quotation. A question that stayed with me. A poem. An art piece to look at. Something observed. Not every thought needs to become a full conversation.

Recommended Resources

Occasionally, I may recommend articles, podcasts, videos or organisations that I believe offer thoughtful and reliable information. Recommendations are made for learning, not as a substitute for psychotherapy.

A Gentle Reminder

Reading can deepen understanding. Insight can open new possibilities. But understanding is not the same as lived experience. Sometimes a single conversation changes more than a hundred books. Sometimes a book helps us find the words we later bring into therapy. Both have their place.

An Invitation

You don’t have to read everything. You don’t have to agree with everything. You don’t have to finish every book. Browse. Linger. Follow your curiosity. Take what speaks to you today. The Library will continue to grow, one conversation at a time.

Disclaimer: In the quiet of this Library, I am learning to write, this time with intention. The ideas and perspectives are mine, though no idea is created in isolation. They have been shaped by conversations, other people’s lived experiences alongside mine, and their creative work, books, research, and the questions I have carried over time. I also learn through teachings by other humans and use AI as a tool for research, thinking, and developing my craft as a writer. I hope, over time, to become increasingly able to give my thoughts their own shape and language.  I am choosing to learn in public because I believe small acts of thoughts and expressions can travel further than we imagine. A butterfly effect, perhaps.
